The very last version of the Svea 15!
Key distinguishing features: the later '30s re-engineered font base and filler cap tank surround, simple spirit cup, new form of pressure release screw and the new 'King of Stoves' legends:

The 'King of Stoves' rebranding must have occurred shortly after these tank engineering changes as there are examples with the older Sievert star-burst logo and legends on tanks with this revised font and filler cap arrangement (eg this No15 posted by Kerophile - https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/6252 ).
There are also examples of the external NRV roarer Svea No.16 which also display the 'King of Stoves' legends ( https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/18871 and https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/11454 ).
This final version of the external NRV Svea No.15 and its No.16 roarer counterpart must have been the very last external NRV stoves in production anywhere. And so late on, when all other manufacturers and even the rest of the Svea range had given up on using the external NRV, isn't it amazing that Svea still went to all the effort of reworking both the tank design and the legends to keep these 2 models in production right up to around WW2!

    Hi, igh371,

Excellent stove, photos and post!! Well done, and many thanks for sharing this with us!! I, too, love the older SVEA stoves, and think they are, indeed, "The King of Stoves"!! Thanks, again, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

A little more progress on narrowing down the date of the 'King of Stoves' logo Svea 15s and 16s: the earliest advert showing this logo in use found so far is this one from 1939. So looks like 1938/9 would be earliest possible date for this version of the No.15, so external NRV models definitely still in production into the WW2 period.

    That was well spotted, Ian.
I have looked at that image a few times since it was posted but never noticed 'The King of Stoves'.
I was interested in the size of the case that holds the 106.

The date for the earliest known positively date-able evidence for the use of the 'King of Stoves' logo can now be pushed back to 1937 - see the box for the model 106 stove on page 20 in this 1937 Meyer catalogue.
