    Greetings, All,

Recently, I bought a lovely Valor Packaway stove on "the bay", and the seller ended up being our own Knight84!! Jeff offered this great stove, in excellent condition, and I ended up as the lucky buyer!!

So, without further adieu, here is my Valor Packway from Jeff!

    Valor Packaway, Part II:

My Packaway was missing it special wrench, which allows removal of the burner plug, and servicing the jet. I tried every single NRV I have on hand, and none of them fit the Valor. Then, an epiphany: I recalled that I had a British Hurlock Military stove, that that it, too, had a burner plug, just like the Valor!! I also recalled a tin of spares, and just possibly, a tool that might work on the Valor. So, I grabbed the Hurlock stove and here's what I found.

    This one dates during WWII.

And sure enough, it did have a tin of spares! Let's open 'er up, and see what's inside, shall we??!!

Yay!! An implement that looks like it just might work on the Valor, too!! Time to check it out!!

By Gumbo, it does fit, after a fashion, and though the screw driver blade is just a tad thick for the Valor burner plug, it easily removed it, and allowed access to the jet, which came out very easily, and went back in just the same!!

Well, that's about all the time I have for this, sad to say. So, firing it up will have to wait, just like my recent Hungarian Perpetum is waiting for the same treatment!! But, fire it up, I shall, and at that time, will add photos here, to share the, hopefully, blue flame with you all!! Thank you for checking out my "new" Valor Packaway stove, Friends! It is a beauty, and easily the equal of any of the Swedish stove, and maybe just a tad better designed. Time will tell. Thanks, again, to Knight84 for this fine stove, and also for my Perpetum, too!! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
Doc ( a very Happy Chappy!!)

    Evening, Sam,

Thanks very much, my friend! Before this stove arrived, I read, and then re-read your post about your own Packaway, and that's where I learned what to look for, and what tools and such should come with the stove. Many thanks for your having posted all that great stuff, so that I was very prepared for getting my own Packaway!! I also downloaded the instruction sheet you shared, and printed one copy out to keep with the stove. Well done, my friend! I look forward to being able to fire mine up, but that will have to wait, now that I'm up to my neck in work demands. Take care, best to your lovely Lady, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Mark
