Burmos 55

    The Burmos 55 is a 1 3/4 pint 'discus' style stove which is collapsible. Model 55 was the Silent burner version.

    It's less common I understand than the Burmos 21. My example I think dates from the 1950's it came with a plastic pump 'leather' which I've recently changed. Nice details lke the burmos branded silent caps.

    Thanks for sharing that very nice Burmos with us! You did a great job in fettling and polishing it, too! Your's sort of reminds me of my Optimus 48, though I know it's different. The 48 is, hands down, one of my most favorite stoves, so I can see why you like your 55! Thanks, again, for sharing, and God Bless!

    Brass , 3 legs , Paraffin , Discus , Rare .
    Sex on 3 legs ? .......... Whats there not to like about this well travelled lovely ??
    perhaps/maybe a priming windshield could add to the alure??
