Hello friends, I present my new stove. Someone of you knows your story???? It seems to be eternal.....
All I know is that it was made in old Soviet Russia: 'Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR; Сою́з Сове́тских Социалисти́ческих Респу́блик (СССР)'
Looks like a Rekord-1 stove, marked for domestic sales. The price being stamped into the fount is a sign of not being made for export. I've one here, made for export, a very sturdy piece of work. https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/russian-mystery-to-me-stove.24021/ Murph
1956 - its main period of USSR - "old" is not good word... After Stalin death - was small internal revolutions. This signs - is made for EXPORT to the other Estern Block coutry Price in ruble - was used on export gods too...
@gieorgijewski Does the cryllic Russian lettering translate to Sdelano? Have you heard of such a brand?
Yes... I can add - "title stove" - engraving style (text to) was rare, i think - it was short series/time
@gieorgijewski So did the whole Eastern Block learn to convert ruble to zloty or ostmark as a daily fact of life? Murph
https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubel_transferowy Prices on goods should be treated as an element of propaganda. Mutual settlements interstate were regulated by the virtual currency "transfer ruble" having no relation to the market value. Stoves "made ussr" - that is, to "export" - also have price in rubles glued to the bottom of the tank.
