The 419 stove was made only in 1941, along with the 420 three-burner model. It was a deluxe model, replacing the 413B, and had a few upgraded features, including a new streamlined case with a fitted lid and "slideaway" legs. Unfortunately, WWII put an end to this model and Coleman put the 413B back into production for the duration of the war and beyond. It wasn't until 1948 that another Coleman stove had these features again.

Note the wind baffles had to slide up and down to clear the deeper lid recess, and also the bend in the burner grate to accommodate the fuel tank valve.

Handsome design, getting away from the boxy Coleman suitcase look. Functional and cheaper production costs evidently won out.

    Welcome to CCS.

Thanks everyone! No, no touchup required at all. It did arrive slightly dented in both lower rear corners due to shoddy packing, but it doesn't show unless you look for it. I just cleaned it up, polished it and waxed it.
