Coleman 501 ´62

    Here my nearly new Coleman 501 of 1962, with the german instruction decal on it.
    Does any one knwo anything about the hologram-sticker ?
    No, I will not light this stove :lol:

    Nice clean 501! I run air through mine just to hear it hiss. Not as gratifying as seeing one fire up but at least I know it has a pulse.

    I think if you shine a light on your hologaphic sticker a Coleman logo will project over your stove just like at a laser Floyd (Pink Floyd) show.... :^o

    That hologram has got to have been stuck on long after the stove was made.

    some of these stoves have been sold in germany, so they were out of reach of colemans call back :D

    i will leave it authentic as it is, and will not convert it to butane. so it can stay a collectors item :)

    If anyone is interested, I have a stove picker contact in Seattle who has one of these. He is aware of the recall too. :evil:
