This is a Coleman Peak 1 Apex that I got at a flea mkt over the past weekend, didnt have one and the price was cheap. The stove is very light weight and came with the fuel bottle which has the directions on the side. (mfg is 2000 from the date on the box, which also has 2 price labels from Wal Mart 1- 35.00 and 1- 25.00). The rubber gasket for the fuel bottle was torn, however there was one attached to the pump that is good, (I guess Coleman makes a service kit with the rubber seals and such) I put some oil on the leather and fired right up. I dont think it was used much.

Hi Rick, Great photos. Looks like a nice stove with a great flame-pattern and control. You seem to have got a bargain.
    Best Regards,
    George.

Very nice score! It looks to be a great backpacking stove. How do they compare with the MSR analogs?
    Best,

Hi kerophile, thanks, pretty easy to control and simmers well.

Hi Randy, I know nothing of the MSRs, as this is the first and newest US made stove of this type that I have. Alot of people like them for the weight and ease of starting. I seems pretty flimsy in the pot stand, but I guess that comes with the weight deal. I like the fuel bottle, it holds quite a lot of fuel and I believe you can change the generator to run kero. :D

I know the Apex-2 version can run on kero with a genny change. I don't know if the Apex 1 version can. Nor what the diff is between the 1 and 2?
    anybody?
I have the original type,Apex Nought, runs fantastic on Coleman fuel, never tried kero tho...
