Handi Works Pty Limited produced stoves between 1932 and 1972 but did not date stamp their Stoves so actual date of manufacture is not known.

The tank is stamped HANDI QUICK BOIL with the HANDI logo (H inside a shield) and MADE BRISBANE

The spirit cup is brass with no markings

The tank filler cap has BRISBANE on one side and HANDI on the other but due to the damage only a bit of the H is visible. The lettering is raised.

The pressure bleed is cast with no markings

The burner has HANDI cast in the top (raised letters) and 8 V stamped in the base.

The leather pump cup assembly is a riveted construction. The assembly is not fixed and slides on the shaft allowing air entry on the up stroke. It is held on the shaft by a brass nut. The NRV is standard.

The flame ring is brass with no markings.

The trivet is quite heavy and made of pressed steel. It is stamped PAT. APP. FOR No. 4299-40. There is an inner steel ring that came with this stove, I am not sure if it is original but it was used with this stove and fits very well.

The spigot and riser was loose and leaking so it had to be resoldered.

There are no flame shots. After fixing all the major leaks one or two pressure cracks were found in the tank. I will seal these from the inside but at this point I am waiting until I have several to do at once.

Here is the stove as found.

Albert White used to be a member of CCS and CPL but I have not seen him online for a few years.
His ID was 'Handi-Albert' because he bought the Handi company when it stopped manufacturing.
He set up a virtual Handi museum which can be found here.
A timeline of the company can be found there as well as the products that they made.

Is Handi-Albert the Archivist on this forum?

Less than a year ago I organised Handi-Albert's phone number to be given to a collector from CPL whom wished to get in touch with Albert.

After speaking with Albert I believe the collector then told me that Albert hasn't got the Internet any more. I assume he has lost interest in stoves and lamps.

Sorry, after reading one more topic it is clear that Handi Albert is not The Archivist on this forum,

"Archivist" is Ross's handle for bringing archived stuff into the forum.

Handi Albert is still around, but not active here.

I had an interesting chat today with a man that said Handi went to Hippolito burners around 1970.

As far as I know, he's not active on any forums.
