That looks like a vent screw on the filler cap which suggests it is a Kero burner. One would not want to release gasoline vapors anywhere near a flame.

I would agree with Sparky, the vent valve suggests kero and so would the pump as this looks like the size of stove that would not need one if it ran on gasoline.

I also vote for kerosene, and it looks like the priming "cup" is designed to allow a kerosene prime. Very cool.

Hi Luminator a nice unusual stove but basic in construction,i can not say what the build quality is though, i like the look of the spirit cup,it looks like it was made to be able to use kerosene to preheat the stove instead of meths.
I am 100% certain your stove is for kerosene as it has a vent screw to control the pressure and shut it down,if Petrol/Gasoline was used it would work fine but the danger is when the stove is turned off,as to do this you have too release the pressure by the vent screw and the escape of air and petrol vapour in doing so,will most certainly ignite giving a rather large flame or even a fire ball

What a lovely stove, I agree with the kero/paraffin fuel idea if it were a petrol stove it would more than likely have a regulator/on-off valve on the burner. In the last picture there appears to be a type of wicking in the bottom of the spirit cup which it would need if using cold paraffin as a pre heat fuel. As a young lad I preheated the burner on my RM stove with a paraffin soaked wick in the spirit cup,it produced quite a bit of soot on the burner which eventually burned off. Would this design of spirit cup burn cleaner ?
