I just found this MS on the market. Never seen it before. Despite the ugly paint, it looks in very very fine condition, so fettling is already started. Strange it was to find it on the market the 09-12-16, while the "furnace" is stamped 09-12-38. Is that a production-date?? More pictures will come some day, when fettling is over. I cant wait to fire it. Its big and looks nasty nice.
Welcome to CCS @Greatdane! ... the right attitude. You surely belong here friend. Take a look at THIS post. John
@Greatdane Have fun with your Sievert furnace! Mine, though not the same, is here. If you go right to the end of the thread, you will see how well it runs when properly fettled. I'm not sure about the stamping on yours. Mine did not have "date" stamping. Cheers Tony
Very nice score well done, i am looking forward to seeing it fetteled and working. I have not got any furnaces in my collection as yet, i am particularly fond of the Primus London furnace. Good luck with the fettle Greatdane i'm sure it will come out great
I will try to make it nice and working Optimus :O). I didnt know the Primus London furnace before, but the details of the furnace-chassis is very very nice looking. If you didnt already find it yourself then here you folks can see a nice Aequator nr. 7 (and a nr. 6), attached with another burner, one wihtout controlhandle and slightly with another shape. http://max-sievert-branders.webklik.nl/page/fotoalbum The casting-details seems very sharp and I assume therefore this is a earlier type of. Its in Holland but easy to understand in the written word, to me that is This sites Aequator nr. 6 is marked 1891 on the tanklid - is that a productionyear or a company-start-year?. Does anyone know when the first Aequator was produced?
