Pity i didn't see it first.

If you don't already have a metho burner like that you're going to fall in lust and have to have at least ten others. In my view this style of burner is the best of the metho burners. Have fun with this loverly toy.

Got it today!!! quick check over and filled with metho.
With bit of yellow /red /green /blue flame and the smell of old dust and rust and copper/brass oxide she fired up.

few taps with a spoon here and there and after a while settled in.

Hi Barra, Sounds like you've got a winner there worthy of some TLC.

I like these spirit stoves and I think their benefits for use for a gentle simmer are often overlooked.

They just aren't always that practical to take off on a hike with which is what perhaps limits their more general appeal?

Take a good quality, square-on pic of the decal and make a note of its dims oa before you start; then if you bugger it up you will have something to start with to make a replacement.
Would be a shame indeed to lose it for eternity.

G'day Bruce. Lovely stove with a great flame pattern. A quality fettle, and I like the matt-black finish.
It also looks as if you have a rare Australian-made stove.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Hi all i just regestered to this site as i just picked up one of these MAXIE indestructible stoves this morning at a local market and wanted to find out more about it. Can anyone please tell me how you fill it up and light it etc? I bought it as it looked unusual to other stoves i have seen and now i can't find out much about it so any help very welcome thanks. I will try and get some pics up soon.
