    Hi gents,

I know, 2014 is still with us, and already I'm asking about 2015! But, as I have to plan things well in advance I'd like to have this confirmed: will Newark 2015 take place on the first weekend of june (6 & 7)? The second weekend is already taken, I'll have to join my troop to Germany! Who else is going to feed them??? [-(

    Best regards,

    Wim

Excellent, it's in the diary. I may even have access to a car this year. :D/

Although I had contemplated an even lighter trip with the Brompton, some of the toys don't see the outside of the loft very often. :-({|=

Myself and SWMBO might be able for this, plans for some more wide ranging travel having been shelved for the year.

I understand that it defeats the purpose to some extent, but is bringing a selection of paraffin burning toys an absolute requirement?

I can bring a favourite or two, but I'd like to combine the trip over with some shopping (flea markets, militaria & record shops) and we only have a Clio!

frg, in the past people have turned up with nothing at all.
It is no problem. Usually such people leave with more than they arrived with!
The main thing is just to get there.
Once you have been you will come again.

It would be great to see you at Newark.

    Thanks chaps.

We shall see, the long haired CO is oddly keen, but there are other possibilities. Famine or feast tends to be the thing, there are three other events that weekend!

Right, sorry for being a thicky. But last weekend in May as opposed to first weekend in June is definitely "it"?

This is definitely better for us if so.

Damn, I was hoping to get there this year, but we will be in Tenerife then. Does anyone fancy a camping meet in the lakes at some point over the summer? maybe at Sykeside? It would be great to meet up again and have a drier/less windy meet!!!!

    Hi Kev

I felt sure that you would be at Newark this year.
You and your family will be missed.

A summer gathering sounds a good idea.
    Sykeside also sounds good.
Here are two photos from 2006 at Sykeside.

Your 'Princess' will be a teenager now.

Of course, one of the benefits of Sykeside is that it has a nice pub next to the campsite.
