I've been meaning to post some pics of this to keep Spudz' one company The Box The Paperwork The Trangia adaptor is on the receipt from Base-camp in case you're wondering what it is. I have no idea why the two stickers came with it or where they are supposed to go.
Hi Dan, There are a few little dimples in the burner windshield that the potstand slides between and it locks them in place. I'll up a pic in a bit for you, mate - I didn't think to show that. BTW, I'm waiting for chickenthief to see it as he could bang out a tripod stand in minutes. It wouldn't be that hard to make a set to fit the kero 111 or 111T burner and that would be awesome as I already have the Kap Arctic connector from Keiron and I have a few Novas to rob for pump and fuel line. come on CT you know you need a challenge/new project
I know I'm predictable... Here is another one.... similar situation... The stove was new when I got it. The guy in the shop was well glad to be shot of it for NZ$75.00 as it had been on the shelf for years... Works OK as well, but better on White gas then kero... Have fun in Norway, Cliff, I wish I was coming with you TBH... ATB John
Hi Bill I have been thinking about this possible set up and I think you would be wise to have a solid fuel line coming off the 111t burner for as far as the original stove does rather than using Keiron's adaptor. There must be a bit of heat that comes down that way especially given the up ward angle of the 111 burner. Hi John Great photo's. I am guessing since they are all taken in a snow cave that the stove is still in the cave for safe keeping. Putting my boots on now, I am going to find it! Dan
Less than inside the windshields of a Kap Arctic as that's fully enclosed. The 11 fuel line is out in the open. The Nova fuel line must get bloody hot when fitted to a Nova in a foil windscreen. I can't see it being a problem myself.
Hi Could someone please add a photo or 2 of the windshield for the 11 explorer (or pm me if you have a spare windshield). Looks like something that could be made from a stainless cup but I am not clear on how the burner clips into it. Thanks Dan
Hey, Dan, Actually, the stand is a bit springy, and when you slide the burner down inside the stand, it's a tight fit, and holds very well. The stand and stove go together in a certain manner, so that the stand keeps the stove in the proper alignment. I can take and send photos of my #11 to you, if you wish. I can also call Shirlene and see if she still has any stands on hand, for your project. Just let me know what would help most. Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
Hi Doc, Shirlene is posting me a stand and a faulty 111c burner, which I should be able to braze back to life, but they did not have part 9040, the wind shield. With a 111c burner and a stand I should be right. Everything else looks pretty straight forward. This stove has eluded me for too long - time to get the tools out. I would like to see photos of the wind shield it you can manage it. I will send you my email. Dan
I am a fair way into this project but have left it for quite a while. My burner still has some cracks to sort out. I am tempted to start afresh with a new burner. If I did, I would use the burner as is and not chop the existing fuel line off. That would solve my pulsing problem and the cracks in one go. Here is what I have done so far... https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/18917
