Spirit cup wicks here (Thanks Trevor for the tutorials, even old dogs sometimes learn new tricks with help) Ivan
This is great! I'll try out using wick materials in both the 111B and my 45 in my Sea Swing. Thanks for the post!
Beauty of a stove and boat. I love my 111B. My favoured material for a preheat wick is carbon felt. Works great. No itchy fiber strands.
Newbie here. I am trying to find a copy of the Optimus 111 Kero stove manual/instructions and there are many references here, none of which seem valid. The Optimus site links are all bad, the Ref Library here doesn't seem to have this manual that I can find (Other Brands) and googling all over the place yields nothing except spam links. Anyone have a link? Would much appreciated. Thanks
Hi @cprendon , welcome to CCS. There are instuction manuals, such as you seek, in the Stove Reference Library, which is accessible to Registered members https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/1987-111-roarer.23010/ Best Regards, Kerophile.
would it be possible to use carbon felt instead of fiberglass? ah yes, i see in the above post that carbon felt works for wiking material, all good, buzz
@snwcmpr I am sorry for the belated reply. I didn't get notification of this post and only came across it now. Yes, I got an inexpensive reproduction off the ebay. Printing these on a home printer would use too much ink because of the colored background and I don't have a setting to eliminate it. Thanks
Rather late for @cprendon but this not very good copy will not use much ink if someone else needs a printout.
