    Hey all,

My "new" Optimus 00 arrived today, and it is awesome. Checked it out, and it looked good...so I rinsed the tank several times, added some kerosene and gave it a test fire.

Thanks for the pics. They run sweet. I have two, one is a "Patent", very nice running stove.

I used my Patent this winter on a late season snowshoe trip a few miles from home. The morning I packed up, I was sitting with my feet in the hole in the snow in front of my tent, sipping coffee and cooking a quick breakfast while it spat rain and sleet. A super nice trip that wasn't cold, even though I was sleeping on snow. I had the stove running for a bit as a hand warmer. Made for a great experience. I built a snow windscreen around my cooking area to help the openness of the stove as I did not have a set up like Rob (SNOWGOOSE) used on one of his recent trips.

    Hey Luminator,

Your Opt 00 looks great!

Do you have a flame shot yet?

I really like my 00. Compact and robust...one of my favorite stoves.

    Best regards,

    Mike.

Hi Michael, Your Op.00L is marked "Made in Sweden" on the base of the tank. The burner has "Made in Sweden" cast into its top.
These markings indicate that you stove was produced post-1962 and the formation of the Primus Trading Co.
The Optimus 00 is a great classic stove.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.
