The stove cost me 5 at a coleman meet. It's not that rare or collectable.
It folds down and has a handle.
I really have too many stoves. I won't miss it.

    Hi John,

Try a search for "Trangia safety valve". There are a bunch on ebay, at least one for a little under $10 with free shipping. The bottle and valve are a little more. Nice thing about it is you can leave it on the bottle. I've yet to get one, but plan to at some point.

Sorry about your losses, especially those that meant something special.

That's it!!! Wow! What a blessing!! Please let me know what I owe and I will be glad to reimburse you. Not used to being down and out....My wife and I have a little group called Bluegrass fro Heroes where we procure beginner level instruments (banjos, guitars, etc.) and provide lessons for free. We started about two years ago and it is truly the most rewarding endeavor I ve ever been involved with. We have met some of the most wonderful people and it has turned into much more than lessons.....he help them with groceries, clothing, etc. Believe me there are plenty of our service people that fall through the cracks. I mention this only to express my gratitude and tell you that is quite ironic to be on the other side of things.

You're welcome. It will be shipped tomorrow.
I don't want anything other than for you to use it. Let me know if there's anything else you could use.

I know 4 people/families that were affected by the Gatlinburg fires, so I'm happy to help. Two of them lost everything (one of those families nearly lost their lives driving out), two had to evacuate but did not lose their houses.
And now, indirectly, I guess I "know" one more.

(you might want to ask a moderator to delete your address. i've saved it, so I have it)

Ok, I am a bit ignorant of what Peak 1 means as a 'type' of stove.
I have some single burner Coleman but not sure if they are what you mean. I know there are quite a few 'Peak 1' stoves in that class.

I am sure we can get you something you can use.

Ha, this site is full of more photos of stoves than a search of google.

I see Michael at Coleman meets around here twice a year at least.

Here are some images of a couple later "Peak 1" models, we can see how they're often referred to as such, these are 550Bs. These versions were also among US military issue multi fuel stoves (these exact 2 were sold retail and not surplus).

"Michael" was in reference to a PM I sent John.
    He replied here.
