nmp asked me about a kettle with a deep depression in the base which I think may be a Sirram,
Here are some pics of a couple of Sirram Black Japanned box spirit kettle showing the depressions in the bases which allow the atmospheric pad stoves to sit in them taking a smaller storage space. I have the pads in the wrong sets, one pad has a depression in its base to locate over a pressing in the windshield but you get the idea.

    hi Duncan
Mine is almost definitely a Sirram its almost identical to the kettle on the left in the first picture that you have posted. The change of web server has prevented me accessing the pictures with ease until this evening. Have you any idea as to the age of this kettle? have you found the pictures of mine that i posted in the stove forum for you?
Since then I have picked up a boxed primus 96 off of the bay and low and behold a previous owner thought that it would be good to use a Sirram screw on spout lid to put on the end of the lipstick burner!! Dont know if you would like it?Its of no use to me.
    Cheers nick.
