Stove # 96 - Primus or Manaslu?

    Santa came by with a Manaslu 96. Had to testfire it. Some thoughts this far: Impressive craftmanship, and of course it works right out of the box. Wobbling potstands as other have pointed out - should not matter. Stove gets very hot, unpleasant to touch the air vent screw with my bare fingers. But overall a geat looking piece of usable gear.

    That Stanley pot really takes time to heat up. One disadvantage of that height-diameter ratio.

    Somewhere here (I can't find it at the moment), I posted a comment about one of my small stoves coming with a rubber band that was used to keep the legs steady...

    Yes it is. Should have said .."other than". It is a well debated flaw that is in contrast with the general impression the M96 gives off.
