TOR vs. Optimus 81 Trapper

This week I received an Optimus 81 Trapper alcohol stove I purchased on Ebay. Are the burners for the 2 stoves the same? The TOR appears to have a more conventional burner, similar to Trangia's. The Trapper has an interesting burner which appears to have some type of wick to soak up alcohol. If the alcohol is not fully consumed, will it leak out all over the stove? There is a plastic plug to put in place, but the seal may be suspect on mine. It looks like the Basecamp has spare plugs available so I may get a new one.

After Ed's recent post, I am concerened that mentioning "wick" in a post is going to get publically flogged as a heretic. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
