Response to Nuts in tents...

On our trip to Burney Falls State Park (California) in early June I took a Coleman 500 (1947 I believe), a M-1942 (WWII G.I. stainless Mountain Stove) and a three legged Enders. Getting out is a great opportunity to try out those little goodies we strive so hard to get our hands on. Burney Falls is about an hour east of Redding, CA.

As far as usefulness and portability (no assemble required) is concerned I really like the Coleman 500 and 500A. I'm close to trying The Enders military stove and the Geniol/Bund large military stove with the "pancake" font. This is the one with the Petromax like pressure gauge and extensive attached tool kit. It is heavy but looks very efficient. If I get it lit I'll report here. Take care. Gordon
