Hello!

Sounds like you have 2 small problems. First, your stove's tank is probably tweaked a little bit, tilting the burner assembly or your pot support legs are bent. Assemble your stove, minus the pot support. Make sure the generator nut is seriously tight. Test fit the pot support. Then turn it 1/3 turn to the next point where the screw lugs line up. If the burner is still of-center the same way, the tank's bent. IF the off-center axis has turned with the pot support, that is bent. I'd bet it's the tank.

Carefully bend the burner back to center, re tighten the generator nut, and test fit the top again. When you get it right, pressurize the stove to test for leaks. If there are any, just tighten more, don't disassemble it again.

I think the generator leaks because you're not tightening it enough, and when you attempt to bend the burner to center it, you're shifting the flange beneath the nut, making a leak.
