Antarctic stoves

Three legger stoves, though primarily domestic, seem to have had a secret life exploring the Antarctic. My Field Handbook from the New Zealand Antarctic exploration center in Christchurch, lists Primus 1, Optimus 00 and the Optimus 111 as issue stoves, together with lists of spare parts to take on deep field expeditions.

The Australian equivalent has details of fault diagnosis and maintenance for the Optimus 111 ( including the suggestion of sealing a failed relief valve with glue - well a working stove is a matter of life and death ) on http://www.antdiv.gov.au/default.asp?casid=1385

Anybody know of any equivalent information from similar organisations?
