Response to Candy and other tins

I know what a 'cookie' (US) is, but what is a 'biscuit' in the USA ?
Biscuit in UK, as well as the edible sort, is a jointing system for mass-produced furniture using fibre keys in machined slots in the timber.
In UK, 'Lollie' is 'Lolly' or 'Ice lolly'
'Lolly' is also slang for money - cf comic strip in Beano or Dandy called 'Lolly pop' about a lad with a very rich father!!
