Maybe someone can tell me what this is:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2240178941&category=19361&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1

At a diameter of only 7cm it's probably no stove, am I right?

Blue skies.

Coil Burner

Hello,
It looks like a coil burner to me. They don't have to be big to work. Sometimes I wonder it we don't see old laboratory equipment.

Pre-heating lamp

This is a benzine fired pre-heating lamp for priming the burner of a paraffin stove. You'll see it in the old c.1920 Primus catalogue on this site (last page, "sundries".
