| I never got around to trying out my Coleman folding oven, or the Aladdin or the Shields two burner stoves with ovens, but I have discovered baking in a covered pan. The type of pan with a dome in the centre with holes to let in the hot air. I cheated by microwaving the vegies a bit first, but 1 inch thick veal cutlets, potatoes and pumpkin were properly baked in a half hour. Perhaps not practical for the outdoor camper, but for those among us who cook in the house on kero, perfect.

There are lots of commercial and do it yourself ovens designed to work with a small stove ot campfire. Essentially they are just small pie tin like devices that mate together like a clam shell.
The Boy Scouts have several designs using pie tins.
They do work, so I am told but care must be taken with heat control and not letting the food make contact directly with the bottom tin.
