Unfired. Already have one(muchly fired), but a spare won't be amiss and the price was at a "stupid to turn down" level. I don't think it's worth anything at all as it's likely vintage of last Tuesday, but I'll leave it unfired for now just in case by some chance anyone's interested in it - shoot me a PM if so. I would hazard a guess that the regulator is faulty, just from age. Common occurrence with this model.
If you had been a few doors away I may have taken you up on the offer. @Marc . We're having our kitchen completely rebuilt in the near future and a simple gas burner might have been handy. Sadly unless you can deliver then can't take you up.
Absolutely. Fun as our classics are, there's something to be said for "it just works" simplicity and functionality. Also good for when one's partner isn't so interested in the classics and just wants to brew some tea.
I have 2 of those but with the ignitor. I use them for camping and when the power goes out. Once she has her morning coffee, then I can "play" with the other stoves and make breakfast or whatever. Mike
My purely personal opinion, which I sincerely aver reflects nothing against others and their opinions, is that those modern 2-burner lpg stoves are ugly, cheesy, pieces of tinny junk. I don't say that about single-burner gassies, though I don't particularly want one myself.
@Ed Winskill I can't disagree, but i will point out that the white gas Coleman and PW suitcases were filling the same economic niche in the '20s - 70s that these gassies do today.
Only got the one gassie but because it is actually an interesting design primus 2222 colour leaves a lot to be desired but clever how it folds up
@Ed Winskill A friend and I were just discussing that. Coleman used to be one of the top people in the game, and now if forced to buy new equipment only, we couldn't think of a single Coleman item we'd buy. That said, I've had fantastic service from my '90's vintage stove exactly like the one in my OP. Every bit as sturdy as the white gas suitcase stoves, with many more positive attributes as well.
