Hi all, picked this up the other day. Other than being an Aladdin there’s no identifying features that I can see. Fired right up with a quick check and some oil in the pump leather. Does take a long time to boil a litre of water, will have to look into that. Notice the lack of bleep screw or air release, it dies have a crude safety valve of sorts - there’s a hole drilled in the side of the filler cap that releases pressure as you undo it.
Nice stove. I love the stylish Aladdin logo. Unscrewing the filler cap to release the pressure through the hole is genius. It eliminates the need for an additional pressure relief screw assembly. Congratulations, you've got a winner there. Ben
Thanks! Think I’ll clean it up a little, try a different burner cap or two (it didn’t come with one) and maybe find an old tin to use as a windbreak. And just use it...
@z1ulike , Ben, Coleman does something similar, if you look inside the cap, you'll see 4 cuts through the cap threads, to vent the tank pressure before it's removed completely. Murph
I did not know that. I don't think I own any Coleman stoves so that may be the reason. You learn something new around here every day. Thanks, Ben
@Frankarooney It's a good example of an Aladdin single burner. Congratulations , you don't see them often. When you get a chance will you post photos in the reference gallery as this model is not represented.
