Hi, Nearly all my information on stoves has been obtained by ‘word of internet’ rather than ‘word of mouth’, and I have never talked to anyone knowledgeable about the Optimus 111. So is it pronounced the ‘one one one’ or the ‘one eleven’, or even the ‘three’?
Interesting question @Twoberth I'm Swedish, and in Swedish I say 'hundraelva' which translates to 'hundred eleven' (without using the "one" prefix to hundred). In English I usually say 'one eleven'. Keen to hear what others have to say.
I work with mil-spec electrical connectors, one typer is the D38999-series, and when said, it is D 38 trippel 9. So the 111 is the trippel one, in bl both Swedish and English from me
I’ve always said “one one one” but I’ve never heard anyone else call it by name. I’ll have to start saying “one eleven”. Therefore must it be Svea “one twenty three”? The ones under 100 (“one hundred”) I say as the English number (eg “seventy one”) Interesting topic... Tony
I definitely say 'one twenty-three'. That one we have discussed before! I think it's pretty common in the US to say 'one twenty-three', 'seven fifty', 'three fifty' etc for those kinds of designations in the hundreds.
