The theme this month is small tinned/boxed stoves where the box is integral to the stove as a pan support &/or windshield. So - Optimus 111's, 22's & 8/8R's & their clones, many of the ingenious South Korean stoves, Primus 41's, some Primus 70/71 outfits, Optimus 80's, Valmet Eräkeitin, etc. Plenty of scope there but not including stoves such as 123 in Sigg Traveller, Loke etc or larger 'suitcase' stoves.

And finally - needs to be a fresh SotM entry for 2019 ie not entered by yourself previously.

2nd to last opportunity to enter for a chance to be in entered in the 2019 Stove of the Year competition in January 2020.

Post your nomination as a reply to this post.

    The rules.
    • Stove must feature in the Stove Reference Gallery (SRG) with a link posted in the entry. So now's the time to get those stoves photographed & posted! If it's been listed for years already that is ok too.
    • Maximum of 2 pictures in the entry. The pictures must show the stove working & in it's entirety. More pictures can of course be shown in the linked SRG entry - as many as you want!
    • Stove must be presently owned by the member.
    • One entry per member.
This nominations post will be open for the month of November. At the end of the month the post will be closed & the qualifying stoves placed in a blind poll for members to vote for. The poll will remain open for 1 week. Most votes is the winner.

The winner will get a SotM Winner notation on their posts & profile & a £10 voucher code from The Fettlebox

    Good luck & have fun!

George, that stove is not a fresh entry for this year as per the rules of this month.
It was posted by you in 2010.

The best reason for disqualification is that my stove doesn’t appear in the Reference Gallery, but in the Frankies section......

But it is all good fun!
    Best Regards
    Kerophile.

Ah! You mean that it can be in the reference gallery since long ago, but it must not have been participated in the contest before.
    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

A Campus no 2 which I posted in 2014. Here Campus no. 2
Have not fired it up since then.Still some yellow tips in the flame. The jet is enlarged.
Received a new nipple from Fogas some years ago. Must find the time to replace it. Too many stove and too little time. Hopefully I'll get the time when I retire in early 2021.

A Vesta from France, as far as I can judge unique in being the only one I know of with a brass tank, no producername on the lid and a few other minor differences.
    Serves well!

Some beautiful stoves , although I have some they are well used, can’t compete with that lot, very nice, when the vote is on it will be a difficult choice.
    Cheers

John, that Vesta looks like a tank. What a beast, I bet you could hold up a Land Rover with it. Wonderful stove.

One of the benefits of these contests is going to be exposing new members like myself to stoves we'd never come across otherwise.

It’s robust, Marc, for sure! Over-engineered really.
