    A very strong burner once warmed up although it seems prone to blowing itself out. Nonetheless a lovely stove. It appears to have had a new control spindle and packing nut. As I read in a previous post the SRV built in the tank is clearly not intended for user servicing but appears to be working fine at the moment.
    I'm undecided as to whether I should do a restoration on the case with this one.
    Any help with dating would be appreciated.

    Well decision made - I couldn't live with the case in the condition I received it so a few hours later I'm at this point. Paint stripped and lid polished. I'm thinking a clear lacquer on the lid and a dark paint for the lower half.

    That should be a 5B with the SRV and lack of a pump. Metal looks good, but I'd paint it black.

    @hikerduane yes a 5B, I think all black was probably the original condition. The top had clearly had a poor paint job, the bottom was black. It would look good in black for sure.

    @Robert Radcliffe
    The green on the top of the case may well have been the original colour and the black the paint job?
    Mine is in the green all over and as you say it’s a bit tatty due to thin paint probably
    These are great stoves and noisy!

    Take a look (no doubt you have!j

    @nmp looks like you're correct about the paint then. I may have to go two tone!

    Well I know a few members would have preferred to see original colours but I went with the clear lacquer on the lid. I used a high temperature ceramic and silica paint on the pot holder, once cured meant to be good to over a 1000°C. Here's the end result.
