Totally agreed ! Thank you Ian for sorting it. It does make me wonder if we meed to have more 'local' meets, as well as Newark? Anyone fancy a meet in Cheshire just say. how about the rest of the world ? I know there are some but how about it? Perhaps many meets across the world at the same time? Alan
Yep we have a back/front and outer garden. Plus beds etc available. any one is welcome. light as many fire as you wish no prob, Alan
Looks like a great meet! Hopefully I'll be able to make the next one or part of it at least. Definitely
Well as I have said. Two lawns. A patio. Pub a few yards down the road. Beds for those that need. Lol. Cheshire meet?
How's the weather over there? A big chunk of my offspring headed to London last night, with a couple more to follow later in the week. One granddaughter with her husband and new child went to attend his best friend's upcoming wedding; he came here from London for theirs three years back. Her folks (our second daughter and our son-in-law) decided go for a few days, and a few more of their kids and spouses are going. I count 9. I asked my wife, why aren't we going? We need to shake off our cobwebs and start travelling again here soon. I'd like to get over there this Spring and try for Newark.
Ed, It's been unseasonably mild of late and looks to continue so over the weekend. Mostly dry. Some sun. Here's the 5-day potted forecast from the Met Office, UK 5 day weather forecast Headline: Outbreaks of the rain in the northwest, largely dry elsewhere. This Evening and Tonight: Mostly cloudy in the north and west with occasional rain on upslopes of northwestern parts, this becoming heavier at times over western Scotland. Clear spells elsewhere. Windy in the north. Thursday: Cloudy in the west and north with occasional rain or drizzle on upslopes, this persistent at times across western Scotland. Dry and fine elsewhere. Windy in the north. Very mild. Outlook for Friday to Sunday: Windy on Friday in the north, with rain in the far northwest moving south through Saturday. Becoming mostly dry later in the weekend but turning much colder from the north. Updated: 16:00 (UTC) on Wed 17 Nov 2021 ... Would be nice to see you at Newark again.
@Ian I like the look of that site - and pub! Mild, Ed (for the time of year), no rain in London until the 26th. Ah, I see Ian’s given a more thorough reply. John
No but thats a few miles away. Doesnt have a great rep locally. Thats not to say its not good but its not the first choice for locals. There are a few sites local. If people want I can do a list. Or use our garden for free. Many options.
