Nice one Ben. Soldering torch and stove combined. It needs a pot rest rigging up on the lines of the one in the illustration in a 1933 catalogue. This advertisement is from 1917, so the design goes back some way. John
@z1ulike , Ben, that's got to be the strangest looking stove I've ever seen! Cool, yes. But, strange, too. @presscall , John, many thanks for helping to "fill in the blanks" on this little guy. For some reason, when I read the words, "Tito Landi", I thought, for a second, that this thread was a bout a Spanish musician who played Congas!! Thanks to you both for the info on this little "pipe stove"! Every Good Wish, Doc
@Doc Mark Peter (@Lampenkueche) has a couple of ‘Pips’ and posted more details HERE. It has a mantle attachment to turn it into a light also, so a very versatile device, and an early date.
@Pancholoco1911 , @presscall , Hi, Guys, Many thanks for the additional information! It's amazing how many very interesting things in history are still out there, waiting to be found! The "Pip" is one of those things!! I enjoyed the links you both shared, and stand amazed by the ingenious minds that create such things, as Tito-Landi did! Thanks for sharing, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
