    Hi,

I use to get mine at the local Focus (and I think B&Q sell it). When Focus went belly up, I found that my local small hardware shop has a pump in the corner of the shop! As long as I provide my own container (no problem - I have two of the Focus ones), it's cheaper than buying it at Focus and I'm happy that I'm supporting a local independent trader.

Odd... Where is there a hardware shop that doesnt sell paraffin? The white Pre-Pac four litre bottles are eveywhere here in Manchester, although the price has gone up from five pounds something to eight pounds something in the last year or so.

    Hi Tea Belly,
It's actually in Aldridge, about 4 miles from Walsall - Lynda's Pets & Plants, Walsall Wood Road, WS9 8HA. I think they are selling at £1 per litre (and if I remember correctly, I paid £6 for 4L at Focus).

nb I have no connection with this shop - just a happy customer.

    Thanks Keith thats really useful.

A lot of the hardware stores in the midlands have stopped trading, probably could not compete with the likes of B & Q.
