I would think it would be each man for themself.

If it is each man for himself, the only planing is the date and the place. No other planing needed. If you want it around Asheville @snwcmpr and @Hazet should pick the place. I'm not sure what the fires burned. Memorial day weekend?

I realized me stating, "If it is each man for himself, the only planing is the date and the place.", was wrong. Does anyone need electricity for health reasons (CPAP machane, other)? Do you have pets that have to come? What kind of "camping" do you need (tent, RV, other)? The answers to these question will change prices and availability.

I have a reservation at Davidson River campground June 24-28. I have a double site for my hardshell and my daughter's popup. We will be swimming and hiking with the grandkids during the day but it would be fun to meet some southeast stovies! If anyone else would be there I would bring a few extra stoves beyond the three that are in the camper.

There are some reservable sites there and the rest are first come first served. Last summer when I was there there were many open sites. If anyone scores a reservation let us know where. We can PM.

If anyone is interested let us know here and I will add you to the PM. Davidson River is a national campground in the mountains of NC. It is in a region of waterfalls and hiking trails.

Thank you @snwcmpr for instigating the meet ,and @BradB for the invite to join you and your family for the sit down. I enjoyed meeting @kevin cansler and you two. I like being able to meet in person to get a base line to know how to toke any questionable posts(haven't had any let). Thank you Ken for the help and info on the 123.

Our first annual South East USA Stove Gathering is now in the books. We met at Davidson River Campground near Brevard NC at the beautiful campground in the Pisgah National Forest. Participants were @snwcmpr, @BradB, @kevin cansler, and @gremlin70. We had a very nice time and it was fun meeting the people behind the CCS stove talk. Snwcmpr wowed us with a few of his old Colemans, Prentice-Weber, and his favorite German diesel cooker. Kevin and gremlin brought some of their favorites and Bradb brought a few that Kevin had requested to see: an Aida 100, Punker, Optimus 1S early regulated, Optimus 5, and Turm 38. Hopefully snwcmpr, Kevin, and gremlin will tell us all they brought. The weather was great, after a cloud burst on Saturday. Bradb brought his daughter and family, with 3 grandkids. It was great fun seeing some old beauties that I have only read about. And the local swimming hole was perfect. Snwcmpr also treated us to some of his home roasted coffee, which was excellent. The top pic is snwcmpr and Kevin with some fine burning old beauties. The bottom pic is the four of us, including Bradb and gremlin. We hope to do this again and hope we can tempt some others to join us.

We coined an addition to an old phrase.
    "Two's company, three's a crowd ..... four's a Gathering."
