    Hi All,
a couple of weeks ago I wrote about a friends mishap with a sigg firejet stove ( Original Post)
First of all I would like to thank the great members of this forum who offered their time, tools and spare parts in order to help!
wedgie - I might be able to help once I have a jet in hand.
Thanks to the great help from Doc Mark and Terry (Trojandog) we found an alternate resource for firejet parts.
We found a store that still stocks some of these rare (so it seems) parts
The seller Walter is a good reliable guy that you can but from with confidence.
And the prices are more then fare in my mind (might go up a bit with demand ;)
Two small hiccups when buying from him:
He communicates only in German not a an issue if you use Google translate or speak the language :)
the second he currently accepts only bank money transfers.
You can use your bank for that or a similar service as described in a post by Terry
I found out that my bank supports that on the new private management website.
could be a bit expensive but I think that if you need the parts its worth it.
so if you desperately need new parts for the old firejet or you are a collector who wants to stock up (so you can help others in the future ;) )
    go to http://www.verkauf.grossmann-sc.de/...rsatzteil--Fire-Jet--Austauschbrenner-66.html

    Thanks all!

    Hi Doron,

Thank you for the link. Maybe I will use that shop for some spare parts for my old Firejet just for the case...

Forum members not living in Germany (the vast majority) could also contact a forum member living there (e.g. me ;) ) for to purchase spare parts if needed. Using Paypal goods and money could be easily exchanged.

    Regards, Philipp

    Hi,
Walter does not accept paypal ( I tried) but I am sure a forum member living in Germany can assist

Glad it has worked out OK Doran  .

Doran has posted a link to the service I used (TransferWise) when I ordered some spares for Doc Mark from Walter. The transfer cost me 1 GBP and the exchange rate was better than the rate on offer at any of the UK main banks. I did forget to mention that the service appears to be limited to transfers from banks based in Europe, but I am sure that other transfer providers are available.

Doran - My order arrived today so I expect yours is also on it's way.

Mark - Yours are neatly tucked away, ready to bring over in May. We can settle up over a pint at JT  .

For anyone else looking for the FireJet service pack, in case Walter runs out - the part number is 7810.40:

    Terry,
Don't forget that if you're settling up in pints the exchange rate is about 1.25 US = 1 UK..
    Cheers

    Hi Doc,
Been caught out with the US pint several times in the past and wouldn't want a fellow Brit stovie to do the same. Woken up on "the morning after the night before" without the expected headache a few times simply because I had had the requisite number of drinks but just not the volume. And then there was the time that I was refused a third 20 ounce glass but told I could carry on with pints all night. That really didn't make sense 'coz the 20 ounce glass was a British import stamped with the imperial crown and marked "one pint".
    Cheers again
    John

    Morning, John,

Your reply gave me a good laugh, my friend!  I always say that I know when I've had too many drinks, when I reach over to brush something off my shoulder, and it turns out to be the floor!!  ;)

I promise to go easy on Terry..... but in truth, he can probably drink me under the table, without even breaking a sweat!!  Thanks for the morning, laugh, John. By the way, I still have that old British Bowler on which you very kindly helped me find more information. I also have found a great craftsman to restore the edge ribbon, and give it a good cleaning. Just haven't made the time to send it off to him, as of yet. But, thanks, again, for your help on that info, Mate! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Mark

I see he still has pump leathers listed, does anyone know if he actually has them, he's not a great communicater which is why I ask here, I bought some parts a while back (2yrs approx) as I was looking for some parts but he didn't have all of the parts ( i.e. the pump leather) on my order and substituted a whole load of other parts into the order instead, some of little use to me but I did manage to get some gems such as burner with perforated disk and presure valve and adjusting tap. It was a palaver getting the order back then and I dont fancy going through the motions with hinm only to find my ordered leathers once again substituted. I have surplus jet cleaner seals, a jet, hose seals, spring cleaning needles, cleaning wire, split washers for pump leather. I was going to just hang on to them but I think I have enough to last my lifetime. One day I'll subscribe and flog the surplus if theres an interest or stick them on fleabay.

Hmmm, I think I may have answered my own question. Looking at his site a bit more, some items are listed as unavailable for outside Germany but can be added to the cart. However when I read the item description page further the item is just described as being unavailable. So looks like the pump leather is still unavailable.
