Picked up this in very nice solid shape kerosene/paraffin container today. Probably quite common I would think in some parts of the world but surely not in my neck of the woods. Been wanting something more "official" looking than a plastic new container to store the stove fuel in. Nicely embossed VALOR on the sides and with an Esso Blue decal on the front. I'm thinking might they be the same outfit that made the Valor stove? If so it will fit in nicely with my #5 Valor. Missing some kind of cap/stopper for the spout but I'm sure I'll come up with something that will work. It's jolly good!!! :)

Neat. I've heard from very reliable sources that bubble gum works in place of a cap. :)

Hi Mr Alexxx nice container, they are very common here in the UK.
But not as cheap to buy on auction sites, they were sold for filling Paraffin/Kerosene heaters.
I'm sure when a heater was bought new they often came with it, you took the can to a shop garage that sold loose fuel, where it was filled, and you filled your heater with it the design of the can allowed the heater to be filled with out spillage, and the heater could not be over filled.

@mr optimus That would surely explain the Tilley heater that I got with it. Not a VALOR heater but I guess a fuel fill can is a fill can for any heater. I kind of figured that the can wasn't for a small brassie stove just by the sheer volume the can would hold. I'd have to be firing it up every day for a year to burn that much fuel. I guess I'd better get with it! :)
    Thank you for the explanation.
