Montgomery Ward Lakeside #2

    Anyone have any idea of a color match for the Lakeside stoves. It has a few spots of dark brown left here and there. I'm pretty sure it was made by PW, so the brown might be the same as those. Thanks in advance.

    Yeah, I thought it was originally black, but in the daylight, it’s a dark brown. Might have to have some mixed. Thanks Jerry

    Really early ones were brown BIMHO when the tanks were moved to the right side of the case they were black

    That's a nice one! I bet it's older than mine. That cast iron grate and box is a plus. congratulations!

    I've never had such a stove...love the cast iron. Total newbie, only going to do a wash and search for seals???

    I cleaned the burner, tank & generator on mine, then replaced the fuel cap gasket with an O-ring for now. Be careful with that generator. It might be hard to replace!

    Thank you, Bill...I started a thread just now about this stove of mine here. I think you told me before to protect the generator. I have it apart and protected....just need to come up with a seal or packing Cheers!
