Hi, I recently brought on ebay an Enders 9063 and after it arriving from France I found the fuel jet/ nipple is blocked by metal that will not budge even after heating with a gas torch. Has any one any ideas or where I could get another jet. Kind regards Tony
Hi @Albatross According to this German guy: https://www.pelam-forum.de/thread/21786-ersatzteile-und-tuningteile-enders-9063/ You can use the jet from a Prabhat R1 stove. You can get the jet here for 2.39€ (Scroll a bit down to R1 jet) https://www.pelam.de/en/catalogsearch/result/?q=Prabhat Worth a try? Cheers
Hi Harder, Thank you for the reply and the link, I will order a R1 nipple, and when it arrives I will report back, thanks again to you and fellow STOVIES
Well the new nipple (R1) threaded in nicely, although you need a smaller scanner. Fired it up and it runs well, but it does pulse, so I will work on that, Thanks again for the help
Glad that the jet fitted. Try placing a kettle of water on it and let it heat that up to boil 2-3 times in a row (change to cold water) just to let the little stove get a good burn. Sometimes that helps. How many times do you pump it?
Some stove develop a pulse as they get up to temp...think Svea 123....so it may be normal. Trying to recall if my baby enders pulses.....hmmm
Hi, thanks once again to the advice, topped up the tank and pumped her up. Boiled the kettle twice from cold and the cooker is running well. Slight leak around the fuel control nut. As can be seen a stainless box has been fabricated by a previous owner and it certainly gets hot, will keep an eye out for a biscuit tin to convert. Thanks all.
The leak around the fuel control nut: If it is a small flame, it should go away If you tighten the nut slightly?
Hi Harder, thanks again, I have given the nut a tweak, but still the same. What could I use to pack the back of the nut, some everyday product must be available, kind regards Tony
Give it a tweak more ;-) I can’t recall the size of the graphite seal behind the nut, but If you can’t find a replacement, you can make your own graphite seal by making it out of a sheet of graphite foil? This seal will get High temperatures, so I wouldn’t use anything but Graphite sealing.
@Albatross Tony, if you can find a source for graphite yarn then repack, the original packing may be reusable if you can extract carefully. This from the model engineering community for 'home brew' packing...
@Albatross Graphite packing is somewhat common, here in the states anyway. https://www.acehardware.com/departm...-faucet-repair/faucet-and-valve-packing/40209 Some versions have a plastic or rubber binder and don't work well at all once warmed. Mine that works looks like string and cotton powder, the version that didn't looked extruded, like black spaghetti.
Thanks for everyone’s replies and help, leak has been sorted, but I will still need to source a pump washer kit to bring the cooker up to specs Regards Albatross
