This is a US-made Primus. I most kindly got this as a gift from abbahco1 long ago after helping him out with some stove deals and transactions from Sweden. Knowing my interest in the really old Primus stoves, he knew I couldn't resist a US-made version. The - oh, so lovely - engraving on these US-made stoves says Primus No.1, but it was called Primus No.103 in catalogues when presented in this version with fixed legs. Like this one (catalogue page 6/image no.8). As usual with the early US-Primus, it has the older type of pump with the old NRV we see in the first Swedish made stoves. I think the burner is the correct type for the period aswell.
@Christer Carlsson , Christer, I'm in DEEP LUST for your old US-made Primus, my friend!!! WOWSER!!! THAT is one outstanding old stove, and I thank you, very, very much, for sharing it here!! Seeing your excellent photos has given me some clues to help fettle a few of my own older US stoves from that time period, and again, I thank you for helping in that way!! As my Jewish friends from NY say, "I'm Kvelling for you", Christer, which is their way of being exceedingly proud of someone, and sharing in their good fortune and success!! Well done, and hearty congratulations!! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
Thanks Doc! You're very kind, but most credit should of course go to our old member abbahco1, who was so kind to let me have this piece of Americo-Swedish history. Let me know if there are some other details you ponder over in order to fix your own, old US stoves! If any additional photo, or so, might help. Regards, Christer
