Not trying to sneak by the trading post rules, but I don't want to pay to subscribe just to give a stove away. I have a 'Turner Brass Works' two burner stove. If someone in Minnesota USA wants it, you can have it. Complete, nice shape, but the orifice on the end was damaged so I adapted a later Coleman valve and tube. All the old parts are there if you can machine an orifice. I've had it for 20+ years and can't bear to throw it away in the scrap. Ran it OK 15 years ago. Wanted to use it 'someday', but I am at the camper stage in life, or use my 1974 old reliable 111B for canoeing. Some one else can 'fettle' and enjoy it I hope. Kevin J
Got a single burner Turner and a two burner would be nice but Minnesota is a loonngggg ways away. Someone close grab it quick! Alex
@kevin j , Welcome to CCS, Sir, and very well done on gifting your old Turner to some needy Stovies in MN!! I immediately thought of @alanwenker , and @DAVE GIBSON , both of whom live in MN. We used to live there, too, back in the mid 1980's, and love it for many reasons. But, in the end, it was just too "flat" as we are "Mountain Folk", so we moved back to the mountains. LOVED the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness!!! I hope Alan, or Dave gets back to you about your stove, and wish you well in your gifting!! Hope to see you again, here at CCS, too! How about some photos of your old 111B, in action? When we lived up there, I read quite a bit that Cliff Jacobson write, about how good the 111, and 111B were for canoe camping. I've backpacked with them, too, and though a tad heavy, they did the job, wonderfully!! As an aside, when was the last time you had your 111B serviced? It may need a new SRV pip, and fuel cap gasket, and the pump bucket might also need a bit of maintenance. We can help you with those tasks, if you don't already know how to safely perform them. The 111B is not a stove that you want to "go nuclear" on you, from a leaky gasket!!!! It's happened to quite a few of us, before we knew about regular maintenance, and it's not fun when it does happen!!!! Let us know what you are doing to maintain your beloved "B", and if you need help, we're here to provide it!! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
I live in the Twin Cities and if Alan, or Dave here in MN somewhere miss out, I will do what I can to assist konabill if he's next on the list.
