Some photos I have of a well used Touring Turm. They should give you an idea of how well they operate with a clean wick. The kettle holds 1.75 litres. The Turm is a very good performing small backpacking stove.
Very nice! The colors of the case and the stove itself is very unique. I really like it. Looks like it could double as a cash box or something. Thanks for sharing. sam
Lovely stove indeed. Do you encounter problems with the movable joints between the tank and burner? Doooool. Ron
Hello Ron. The moving elbow joint hasn't been any problems at all.The "pin" tool is built into the other end of the regulating handle. To tighten the moving elbow joint, simply insert the pin into one of the holes on the collar and adjust it clockwise lightly.I only had to do that once and it stayed that way while I used it. That stove spent some time on the back of a friends motorcyle and was used while traveling around New Zealand before I sold it on.Cheers and have a Great New Year-John
Thanks for the pics. I just got one of these Turm Touring Stoves. Would anyone know where could I find a new wick for it? Thanks - Jim
I must admit im warming to meths stoves theyre a very underrated thing the adler is very impressive output wise the quikcook--- well double the size doesnt equal higher output and the big quikcook still unlit ive found turm stoves online both quite rough condition and seriously considering bidding
I'll keep a lookout for more cookquiks they appear from time to time and there were 2 burner models the question springs to mind where are the marine meths stoves they were once the favoured yacht stove but i never see any up for sale
I am very impressed with the flame shot looks like it can easily manage a pan of bacon and eggs if it boils a domestic kettle so strongly.
