I think a rare bird in my 96 collection, AH-1943. Still some gaps in my collection for the 40's. Ruined the lipstick or it was weak as the tip was pushed in and I corrected it. Burner and bell look like they had a hard or long life. Noticed it when fuel spewed all over when priming. Had an extra, but shorter lipstick. Very lucky it made the overseas trip to me as Customs forms and postage paid were missing, papers may be where the tracking last shows stove was at. I was asked at the Post Office if I was expecting a package. Only needed a cap washer, lead burner seal to replace the two hard rubber ones, oil the pump cup so far. Missing the spanner unfortunately. Duane

@hikerduane An exceptionally rare date I think only 1942 and 1944 had lower production figures, do you have either of those yet? But even if not yet you must have the most complete date set currently in existence; outstanding Ian
Congrats !! +1 on your "rare bird", (ie 1941-47) as you and I discussed in a 96 post on that topic. We see you're fired up, I'll show my hand here, enter this as SotM contender and you get my vote. There were many options re tins, some military, for No.s 96 & 210. Yours being the civilian retail tin (& instructions) for the year. For No.96 research, one would do well to **refer to your collection and to the CCS gallery. I did the leg work in the gallery with a result as we would expect: of 136 examples, for the 8 years 1940-47, your '43 is among *5 rare examples posted. Oh, BTW I am curious, **how many within 40-47 do you have? thx omc
