I just found one of these, for 20. I'm not a fan of propane most times, but I did like that it had multiple configurations. It looked in good shape, barely used. It does have the regulator, but the seal is toast. Has the handle too, I'll see if I can measure it. Goes next to my Trangia and coleman with the rest of my vintage gear (that I regularly use).
Hello, I recently rescued one from a trash pile. it's pretty rough, but I cleaned it up and I think I have all the pieces. I do not have the manual. I'm wondering if it would be possible for someone on this thread who has a manual to take some photos (or possibly copy and turn into a PDF) and upload them here? Thanks!
@Jan H. The page for the owner manual indicated by @gremlin70 doesn't work anymore, but I had downloaded it while it was still working. Here it goes!
The photo of it being used and description of what it can do on the box are wonderful. It sure makes a lot of promises!
I picked up a Kangaroo Kitchen for I think $3 maybe 2 yrs ago. Because I already had a cheap camp stove in my camp boxes, I didn't think too much about it until Hurricane Irma was heading for us a few weeks ago. My KK is missing the griddle & the handle. I've been looking at a few pics & it seems like a lot of people are missing the handle. I have seen 2 styles & had seen that someone requested dimensions in the past. I'd love to see photos of your handles, certainly if they came w/ your KK, but also if you have fabricated your own. I don't really need dimensions as I will make mine to fit my hands or maybe my husbands hands, but seeing the shapes & any bends that don't make it a flat handle. ~Jen FL
Hi, I have a brand 'new' blue Kangaroo Kitchen. Never used. All parts, handle, manual, etc. Anyone want it? Even has the wood chips in the bag for flavoring! Also, the vintage bottle of Kangaroo propane fuel, which obviously I can't send you. Anyway, pay the shipping and some cash for my trouble and it's yours! I think it is cool but don't want to store it and appreciate that there are other folks out there who would like it. I had the original box too but I threw it out because it was covered in mouse poop. (Unlikely, but any local northern Vermonters can just come get it!)
ktgvt - did anyone follow up on this offer? My Dad had one of these when I was young and always wanted one.
While cleaning my late grandparents shed, I came across this gem! A rarely used Kangaroo kitchen. All parts seem to be here and in great working order. I had a good amount of dust, but as you see it cleaned up nicely. And I did a short test run and it burnt wonderfuly.
Lance, I just posted about a KK that I have. I believe I sent it to you and 2 other people (pshaw and Smitty, although it appears they may not have been on the site in quite a while). It is not a terribly user-friendly website. Could you confirm if you can see my post? Thanks. Tom

Tom (@Tom Botchie) Welcome on board. I can see the post above. In my opinion, this site is very user-friendly, compared to other subject forums I use. We’d be pleased to help you navigate it. Cheers Tony
Enrique, thanks for the tip about the @...is there a way to post to a thread or topic instead a member? I looked at the participation of the 2 guys I sent my post to and they hadn't been active in years. Only discovered that after I sent it.
@Tom Botchie What are you trying to do? Send private messages? You are already posting to a thread. Ken in NC
I have a KK in near pristine shape, with the manual but, like many, it’s missing the regulator. This was my parents’ and I my guess is that the valve was not in the box but was screwed on the gas bottle, which would fit in the kit and the heirs failed to recognize the regulator for what it was. The rest sat in its, now deteriorated, original cardboard box until today, when my son asked for a propane stove. A shame the regulator/valve is missing. This kit even has a spare valve nozzle taped inside the manual! I made a .pdf of the manual Of anyone could use that. Other than that, this thing is spare parts, I suppose. I think it was used as a stove at least once but the griddle is virgin and it does not appear it was ever grilled on.
didn’t have a ruler for dimensions but that handle fits the outline of the KK photo on the manual. Hope that helps. Too bad I’m missing the regulator cause I still have the (for smoking) wood chips that came with it, lol.
Any one know the btu on these bad boys just got my hand on one almost new just missing the steam plate if any ine as one and willing to ship to canada i want one!!!
I know the thread is old, but it seems to get revitalized every once in a while. I just wanted to pop in to say Thank you to @shueilung-2008 for posting the manual. I am the proud owner of my parents old Kangaroo Kitchen. I grew up camping with it and have fond memories of many meals made using it. Even with that, I am fairly surprised about the versatility that they espouse in the manual. Apparently we didn't come close to utilizing it to its fullest. The set is complete: regulator, griddle / lid handle included. Just not the manual. (or the wood chips apparently) My family (wife, son, and I ) just got back from a July 4th camping trip, mainly using the griddle for french toast and grilled cheese. The burner seemed to run REALLY hot. It took turning the propane to just barely on to not almost instantly burn anything placed on the griddle. Hence my desire to find the manual to see if we were doing anything wrong, or unadvised. I can't see that we were, but maybe it just needs a better cleaning. Anyway, thanks again for the PDF of the manual. It's nice to have the "complete" system now. I'll see about getting some pictures this week after cleaning it up from the trip.
