On coffee water duty during break time, on the back of the truck amid construction debris, as a kero- converted 200 lantern looks on approvingly.

    Folks, I am truly spoiled.

I casually mentioned within my girlfriend's hearing that I wanted to get the 27 kettle to go with the Trangia as my 25 kettle doesn't fit. Today, this arrived.

I'd have been quite thankful for the matches, too.

First use on an away mission today, here making tea on a pit stop. We humans weren't very sanguine about the VERY chilly breeze that was blowing, but of course the Trangia was completely indifferent.

I've found that I like the yellow HEET bottles for fuel. Convenient size and easy to pour.

I got SWMBO a .5L Trangia bottle for her kit. I was impressed with it.

The Trangia bottle got recommended highly when I asked about alcohol fuel bottles before.

Got one ordered and on it's way.

Just tried 70% isopropyl alcohol in my Trangia. Won't do that again if I have the choice. A classic case of "three days in the lab will save you from 5 minutes in the library."

I dumped out the isopropyl alcohol, the burner is drying in the sun now.

After the isopropyl evaporates you have water, I would burn it off.

Already dumped it out, just letting what's left evaporate off.
