By the looks of your flameshots - it looks great. Those stoves can last for generations with just a minimum of care.

    Nice flames!
Do you notice any difference with this cap - compared to the original two-part cap?

I’m not sure what you are asking.

    I’m using this burner:

Looking through this thread I can now understand why this forum is dangerous (to the wallet at least).
    I found myself on e-bay looking at Optimus 22's and 22B's :(

My bad - I thought you had one of them single-piece silence caps like on the Primus 100.

@Harder D. Soerensen never thought of using a trailer ball for the flame ring. Very nice. I will comply.

Yep. By the way the burner I put on the Frankenstove / Coleman Lantern fount is a Hanse burner. They are great burners. Top shelf stuff.

Optimus 99. First time using it. Boiled 2 cups of water in about 6 minutes. Didn't know how much i'd like it compared to the 8R but I have to admit I like it a lot.

Picked up a nice Optimus 00L with tin, reserve cap, spanner, prickers and an old 3 piece folding windshield.
New cap and riser gaskets and it's happy on Jet A1
