    Hi guys,

    I have acquired a 424 stove from my grandparents, but the generator needs to be replaced as the needle on the end had snapped off.

    I ordered what I thought was the correct generator online, part no. 424-5621 as stated in the manual that came with it.

    The generator that came with the stove is 200mm long, but the part I ordered is 260mm long so it doesn't fit.

    Are there two versions of this generator?

    What is the normal length of a 424 generator?

    I'm in Australia, does anyone know of somewhere that sells these?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jeremy

    @Jeremy428

    Where did you buy the new generator from?

    Can you post photos of both?

    I bought from a seller on Ebay a while back. Sealed in factory packaging with the correct part number. Also there is no heat sink on the new one. As you can see from the photos, they are not even close. What is the normal length of a 424 generator?

    The ebay seller most likely either sold the wrong part or sent the wrong part.

    Going by packaging, right part number, wrong part in packaging.

    Why does this photo ID the stove as 414C455?
