Hi guys, I have acquired a 424 stove from my grandparents, but the generator needs to be replaced as the needle on the end had snapped off. I ordered what I thought was the correct generator online, part no. 424-5621 as stated in the manual that came with it. The generator that came with the stove is 200mm long, but the part I ordered is 260mm long so it doesn't fit. Are there two versions of this generator? What is the normal length of a 424 generator? I'm in Australia, does anyone know of somewhere that sells these? Thanks in advance, Jeremy
Would appear your part number is right. Maybe send "Old Coleman Parts' an email, to question the length. OldColemanParts.com :: Just Generators :: Stove Generators :: Generator Stove
I bought from a seller on Ebay a while back. Sealed in factory packaging with the correct part number. Also there is no heat sink on the new one. As you can see from the photos, they are not even close. What is the normal length of a 424 generator?
Here's another good resource for information. https://www.colemancollectorsforum....933613?pid=1297942549&highlight=424+generator
Old Coleman Parts has both. Ask him which one. OldColemanParts.com :: Just Generators :: Stove Generators :: Generator Stove OldColemanParts.com :: Just Generators :: Stove Generators :: Generator Stove
