@Hazet That's a nice 123 and wonderful to see a proper rolling boil unlike the couple of pin prick sized bubbles that some youtubers claim to be a boil. Regards John
Alabama
Thank you very much Tony, I had no time to turn on, it was a bit difficult but after many attempts I managed to return with its unique roar and beautiful flames to cook some eggs and heat water for a coffee which I enjoyed with my Wife. Greetings and thanks for the observation. Alabama
Hi @roat A smart Primus No.221L with a powerful flame pattern! I believe that 1936 was the first year of the "chained" reserve cap on the Primus 221. I have 1927, 1932 and 1935 Pr 221s with threaded reserve caps parked on top of the filler cap, and a 1939 model with the chained reserve cap just like yours. Best Regards, Kerophile
Hi @roat Beware! Collecting multiple copies of the same stove model is the Final stage of Stove Pox. There is no return! Best Regards, Kerophile.
Just a couple 111T flameshots for your viewing pleasure. Running on kero. Have a great night/day my fellow stovies!
HEre are some flame shots of my 3 Coleman propane stoves. They are model's 5423, 5427, 5424. For some reason the one on the right when at full flame had nice blue at the burner cap, but then turned to a flame like seen in the picture. If I turned them down to almost a simmer the whole flame was blue. All the burners were taken apart and the burner rings cleaned as they all had a bit of rust. I think on the left burner of the 5423, I must of not set the rings up properly as it had a really weird looking flame on simmer compared to the other burner. I was wanting to get a pic of all 3 running together, but found out the one hose leaks at the regulator, so now have to find a new hose/regulator for it.
@Johnathan I love how "soft" the flames are. Usually I think of flames as more sharp. Is that the flame itself or a phenomenon of the photos?
It is partial the photo and it was partial that way in person. The one stove was producing a nice softer flame than the others.
Boiling a kettle of water for some coffee the other day. Radius 21 (with an Optimus 00 burner (and Høvik Verk 41 shield) )
