As "We know" under that name was a few similar constructions with differencies.
two type of pumps (older and newer)
    a few bottles
    two burners
    two wrenches
    -----------
APG versions - is cheapest now
    in set:
    biggest bottle
    pour wrench
    good burner
    small windshield
    ---------
    work:
my example is "near new" - works two weeks in Georgia at 4000 m. on autofuel.
My test's: - nipple seems to be little too big on autofuel, stove needs circa 10 minutes to constant blue flame
    on gas - working perfect
    -----------
I am not sure is it good idea to storage/transport pump in bottle with fuel
but i've seen only 1 example of pump transport box...?

It its good idea - after work on liquid - burn on gas to clean generator.

The short squat tank is interesting.

I do like.the 8A, just wish I hadn't tried kero in it to be honest, only because it's damn difficult to get the silly pricker anywhere near the nipple. Grrr

Thanks @gieorgijewski for your comments on this stove.
Nice idea to have the pump in a transport box.

A few questions for 8a owners:
    Did We know nipple diameters?
4,5 kW power - IMO on kerosene - on autofuel?
    ----------
APG instruction is enigmatic - in other versions is anu technical data?

@gieorgijewski Just a quick comment as I'll not get an opportunity to look at mine in detail for a week or so.

After the rather failed kerosene test and the nipple as supplied leaking I managed to shear it off so had to order spares, they are cheap and available in a variety of sizes, and I'm unsure what size I have currently fitted.

My plan is to modify the pre heat tube arrangement at some point to give better thermal conductivity for kerosene. Something a bit more engineered than wrapping copper wire around. As a gas and naphtha burner they work well, I suppose a burn through with gas on mine should clear some of the carbon out, but it's getting the damn pricker near the jet when working is the PITA. :rage:

The nipples/jets available for the BRS 8/8A and 12/12A are these:
    #30 for Kerosene?
    #33 for Gasoline/Kerosene?
    #35 for Gasoline?

I have not been able to measure the apertures on them and the question marks are because of what my guess is.

    thanks
    --------------------
ok ... it is possible to be done
but pre heat tube mounting in that burner is not acceptable as "multifuel" function
original wrench is "for nothing" in "change nipple" task
moore - to dismounting "You" need special wrench
but - mounting - even with that tool was very difficult
    ----------
pre heat tube shape/design - makes this burner "one nipple" - "as is"
if tube was 10/14 mm longer with "any angle in burner center" it will be as is declared in instruction.

Agree completely with everything there @gieorgijewski.

Brass tube is available online, and a car brake pipe bender might get the tube geometry to stay within the flame for longer, rather than just at 2 points as it is at the moment.

Hi, I see a few of these turning up on the New Zealand market, slightly different as in they are type 2.
I was wondering about the wind shield, pot set, can you still buy them as I have what looks similar but the heat at sometime has melted some of the lower housing.
    Regards
    Tony
