Optimus stoves-Hammerrite paint

Anyone have experience with Hammerrite paint, with hammer finish. How does it look and how did you apply? Thanks.

 

Sprayed a tin once, came out OK. But hammerite is a pain to clean out of the gun and needs special thinners.
Also if you don't do a good job of cleaning the gun, your next "smooth" paint job isn't.

 

I did my red 22 with hammerite its protected the metal but doesnt handle heat well

 

You can get Hammerite on a spray can.

You can also get stove enamel, for high temperatures, on spray cans, but not many colours to choose from
