This stove is as it came to me. I suspect it was used in the Australian services, but I don't know for sure.

Here is the case it came in - a 105mm Howitzer shell case.

Not really, John. But I was rather taken by the improvisation.

    Cheers

The empty munition case is a fun touch for a military stove.

    Hi Tony

Darn compact stove model. I love the way the military ensured several manufacturers could make this model Coleman. I have one of the ‘less preferred’ makers and it seems to work fine. Do they still have war surplus stores? I need the Howitzer case; great find.

A 105mm Howitzer case! Pretty clever re purpose. I see that your burner sits above the frame. I have a Rogers burner and valve that I put on a Fiesta tank that sits slightly above and was wonder if that was wrong. Now I feel better seeing yours.

I’ll have to check my other M1950s. I paid no mind to the position of the burner relative to the frame.

    Coleman Fuel a/k/a 'white gas'.

Welcome to CCS. A lot here about those models.

The burner on my 1981 SMP sits very slightly above the frame.
